The Research Institute Went To Zhengzhou For Survey

On April 18, 2024, the group led by Executive Director Liu Xiaochuan of the Research Institute and Executive Director Xu Longbing of the Chinese-style Modernization Research Institute of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics went to Zhengzhou to make survey and discussion regarding Shanghai University of Finance and Economics establishing research institute in Zhengzhou, the symposium was presided over by Zhou Wei, the Deputy Chief of the Finance Bureau of Zhengzhou City. 

First of all, Deputy Chief Zhou welcomed the group of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and indicated that Zhengzhou highly welcomes Shanghai University of Finance and Economics to establish research institute in Zhengzhou. Next up, Executive Director Liu Xiaochuan and Executive Director Xu Longbing respectively introduced the early-stage communication background of establishing research institute in Zhengzhou and the university’s thinkings so far regarding the establishment research institute. Then the General Manager Zuo Hongliang of Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange Research Institute and Third-grade Researcher Sun Zhiyong of Zhengzhou Science and Technology Bureau respectively expressed some thoughts on behalf of their respective institutions regarding the establishment of research institute by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Lastly, Deputy Chief Zhou Wei concluded that Zhengzhou highly welcomes Shanghai University of Finance and Economics to establish research institute in Zhengzhou, which could help Zhengzhou comprehensively enhance its comprehensive strength in the fields of finance, futures, etc., cultivate high-end talents in finance, etc., and he hoped that the two parties could further specify the specific contents of cooperation next up, so as to set foundation for the official establishment of the research institute as soon as possible.

In the afternoon of the same day, the group led by Executive Director Liu Xiaochuan also went to the Beilong Lake Financial Island of Zhengzhou, Central Plain Science and Technology City, etc. where the research institute may be located in the future for survey and research.
