The Research Institute Successfully Held Closed-door Seminar on New Round of Fiscal Legislation in Jiaxing

On March 1-3, 2024, the Research Institute successfully held the closed-door seminar on the research project of new round of fiscal legislation series, namely the revision of “Budget Law”, & suggestions for legislation of basic fiscal law. Members of the “Budget Law” revision topic group and the basic fiscal law legislation suggestion research topic group as well as experts from outside the university attended this meeting. 

The meeting was presided over by Professor Liu Xiaochuan, the Executive Director of the Research Institute. Firstly, Professor Liu Xiaochuan made an introduction of the background of the research project of new round of fiscal legislation series. Later, the meeting developed reporting and discussion around the results at current stage made by the “Budget Law” revision topic group and the basic fiscal law legislation suggestion research topic group, the various attending personnel made in-depth exchange of opinions, and preliminarily formed revision opinions as well as the forms of topic results in the future.

This closed-door seminar has achieved very good effect. Next, the Research Institute will continue to organize closed-door seminars of research project of new round of fiscal legislation series, including China’s taxation legislation research, non-tax revenue legislation research, research on several major issues regarding supervision, management and legislation of state-owned assets and research on suggestions to government debt legislation.
