The Research Institute Went to the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Finance for Surey

On January 3, 2024, the group led by Professor Liu Xiaochuan, Executive Director Liu Xiaochuan of the Research Institute, went to the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Finance for survey over a series of issues for new round of fiscal legislation.

Firstly, Executive Director Liu Xiaochuan of the Research Institute made an introduction to the background of this survey, and indicated that the Research Institute has always been very concerned for researches related to legislation in fiscal field, and also maintained a long-term and stable relationship of cooperation with the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Finance. Secondly, Associate Professor Xu Shuna, Professor Liu Xiao Bing and Professor Liu Xiaochuan of the Survey Group made introduction to the leaders of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Finance about the revision of the Budget Law in new round of fiscal legislation and the legislative suggestion issue of the basic fiscal law respectively. Later, Deputy Director Xiao Xuefeng of the Department of Treaty and Law welcomed the group of Research Institute, Deputy Director Xiao mentioned that they had long-term communication with the Research Institute in the past over legislative issues in fiscal field, and had very good effect, and he also hoped that the Research Institute could play important role in new round of fiscal legislation issues. Lastly, Deputy Director Zhan Zhiwei of the Department of Treaty and Law expressed his high recognition of the series of research currently developed by us over new round of fiscal legislation, and hoped that the two parties could have more exchanges and more communications in the future, so as to better serve the important strategic demands for legislation in the national fiscal field.

The personnel who also participated in this survey meeting included Wang Dan, Huang Jianli and Wang Zheng from No.1 Office of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Finance, and Professor Wang Chong, the Deputy Director of the Research Institute, and Office Director Liu Yonghe of the Research Institute.
